Can we talk about my awesome friend Marilyn Brant? I just read that she won a Golden Heart, Romance Writers of America's award for unpublished writers, for her novel According to Jane -- women's fiction with romantic elements. I am so excited for her -- Golden Hearts are usually followed by publishing contracts. This is a mega big deal!

YAY!

I am so going to conference next year. I can't believe I missed this.

Re: Thank you!
Can't wait to see you at the meeting, and your Golden Heart. Did I get your category wrong in my post? Well, the name's right, that's what matters.

Oh, hey, it was close enough. The contest category's official title is a half-mile long: Best Novel with Strong Romantic Elements. Most of us just call it Women's Fiction :). Can't wait to see you at the next meeting, too!
