Wonderful news out of California today -- the ban on same gender marriage was overturned.

Here are some beautiful photos from the month in 2004 when gay marriage was legal in San Francisco.

it's been hard watching the news what with the stuff going on in myanmar/burma and china, but i have been soaking this news story up today. we're getting there!

Me too! Such pretty pictures.

I liked seeing the ones with the flowers -- when the marriages were first allowed, there was a grassroots thing on the web where you could call florists in San Francisco and they'd take flowers down there. We sent some, because every wedding needs pretty flowers! So it was nice to see that.
